announced today that they have completed an agreement for the purchase and
installation for a “dry” processing mineral separating unit with the French-based
company, Imerys, a world leader in mineral-based specialty solutions.
STET develops and manufactures Triboelectrostatic separators for the fly ash and
minerals industry.
“It’s a great honor to have the opportunity to partner with Imerys,” stated Mike Allen,
STET’s President. “This is a perfect example of how our beneficiation separators bring
added value. This innovative technology recovers valuable products from what was
once considered waste and lowers production costs.”
Allen went on to describe that the separating unit also contributes to the protection of
the environmental by utilizing an entirely “dry” technology, with low energy consumption
and no pre-treatment agents or chemicals.
STET’s innovative technology offers mineral processors several unique advantages
over traditional “wet” processes:
Imerys is the world leader in mineral-based specialty solutions for industry, with €3.7
billion revenue and 14,900 employees in 2014, Imerys provides the world with a unique
range of minerals that deliver essential applications that are critical to its customer’s
