NEEDHAM, MASSA. – Ambtenaren bij ST Equipment & Technologie LLC (STET) announced that they have finalized an agreement for the purchase and installation of a fly ash beneficiation unit at the Samchoenpo Power Station by Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd. (KOEN), a subsidiary of Korea Electric Power Corporation (Kepco).
KEPCO is the largest electric utility in Korea, responsible for 93% of the country’s electricity generation. The separation and processing unit will be used to beneficiate fly ash produced by all Units the Samchoenpo Power Station. The beneficiation plant is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion during the first half of 2019.
The project has been warmly welcomed by the local authorities and community in Korea for its contribution to sustainable development.

This is the fourth STET fly ash project to be developed in Asia; the previous ones are located in the Philippines, Japan and Korea. There are already numerous fly ash STET separation units in operation in the US, Canada, and Europe. STET has also installed separators for the beneficiation of industrial minerals in North America, India and Europe.
